Boaa facilitates and supports individuals, families, groups, communities, organisations, professionals and businesses to provide information, education, celebration and support in our community regarding pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and early parenting.

Boaa provides an organisational environment that is based on trust, friendship, respect, warmth and cooperation.

Objectives:

• To create local, regional, state and national networks to facilitate our goals.
• To improve community health and well being by providing information, education and support for pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and early parenting.
• To improve our community by encouraging organisational ownership and participation, respect and inclusion, networking and mentoring, advocacy and self help, informed choice and informed refusal, along with personal and community responsibility.
• To provide an organisational environment that is based on trust, friendship, respect, warmth and cooperation.

Aims:

• To be an organisation that nurtures individuals and groups with ideas and concepts that improve pregnancy, birthing, breastfeeding and parenting outcomes.
• To encourage and facilitate the establishment of local pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and early parenting support networks around Australia.
• To use theatre, film and other art mediums to raise awareness of, and to celebrate pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and parenting in the community.
• To provide information and education on current pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and early parenting issues.
• To collate current information on maternity services and issues and to provide this to the community.
• To develop ventures to raise funds and increases awareness of the Boaa’s work;
• To be a charitable organisation that support programs that deliver services in the area of pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and parenting within our communities.
